Debbie is a support worker for DFS who is based in Wollongong. Originally from country New South Wales, she has developed a strong connection to the local community. Debbie is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of people with disability and is committed to being a trusted and reliable source of support for those she works with.
Throughout her supports, Debbie applies a compassionate, person-centred approach, taking the time to listen carefully, understand each participant’s needs, and work collaboratively towards their individual goals. She values empathy, open communication, and practical problem-solving to help participants navigate challenges and maintain their independence.
Outside of work, Debbie enjoys bushwalking, travelling, cooking, and spending quality time with her family. She values community connection and enjoys supporting people to remain engaged activities and experiences that are meaningful to them.
