Sophie applies techniques such as Articulation Therapy, Minimal Pairs Therapy, The Nuffield Approach for Dyspraxia, Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC), The Greenspan Floortime Approach, Direct and indirect language skills targeting and stimulation, and the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS).
Sophie is a Speech Pathologist who has joined the Direct Focus Solutions team to bolster service delivery in the Bathurst-Lithgow region. She specialises in paediatrics and always puts in her best effort to ensure that ideal outcomes are reached for our clients.
After receiving her Bachelor of Speech Pathology, Sophie spent 5 years working with children and adults across the Penrith, Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow regions. She has worked with clients with a variety of conditions to provide both assessments and therapy. Having work in clinical environments, schools, nursing homes, and client’s own residences, in addition to telehealth, Sophie is able to provide her services in a variety of contexts as needed.
