- Due to the circumstances caused by COVID-19, please be aware that we are now providing Telehealth services. Everyone is eligible for these services. Clients are typically not required to be bulk billed in order to receive these services. However, please note: As of the 6th of April, 2020 psychologists are now able to charge a gap fee for some Telehealth clients, depending on their present financial circumstances.
- The exceptions to this ruling are:
– Commonwealth concession card holders
– Children under 16 years of age
– Clients who are more vulnerable to COVID-19
A person is defined as more vulnerable or at risk of COVID-19 if they are:
– Required to self-isolate or self-quarantine in accordance with guidance issued by the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee in relation to COVID-19; or
– At least 70 years old; or
– Of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent and are at least 50 years old; or
– Pregnant; or
– The parent of a child under 12 months; or
– Being treated for a chronic health condition (e.g. asthma, diabetes, etc.); or
– Immunocompromised; or
– Meet the current national triage protocol criteria for suspected COVID-19 infection

- The Government’s decision to leave children in this bulk billing category also applies to all medical practitioners including GPs, psychiatrists, paediatricians and other allied health providers.
- All psychologists are required to obtain informed financial consent from clients before providing their service (through providing fee details and required out-of-pocket costs [i.e. gap fees])
- In general, a service is bulk‑billed only if:
(a) a medicare benefit is payable to a person in relation to the service; and
(b) under an agreement entered into under section 20A of the Act:
(i) the person assigns to the practitioner by whom, or on whose behalf, the service is provided, the person’s right to the payment of the medicare benefit; and
(ii) the practitioner accepts the assignment in full payment of the practitioner’s fee for the service provided.

Our principal psychologist Lynette Fane De Salis is approved under the Approved Counselling Service (ACS) to provide victims of crime up to 22 hours of free counselling.
