Michelle is a Senior Psychologist with experience in treating depression and anxiety, mending relationships, and has a strong focus on building self-esteem. Her practice involves transforming limiting thoughts and beliefs through helping clients to discover the meaning and purpose in their lives.

Michelle works in private practice as well as the corporate sector as she is particularly experienced in treating both personal and work-related issues. She has dealt with critical incidents and has experience in supporting individuals and groups in the aftermath of grief and traumatic experiences.

Michelle utilises a holistic approach that incorporates positive psychology, mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapy, and coaching. She additionally incorporates other techniques that suit the client’s individual needs and goals as necessary. Michelle is warm, engaging, and insightful. She provides her clients with a safe, nurturing and comfortable environment in order to assist them on their path towards inner peace or to help them navigate challenging times or achieve personal growth.

Experiences

Michelle worked in Human Resource Management after completing her Honours in Psychology. This has provided her with a broad range of experiences in dealing with workplace issues, conflict resolution, and counselling. After this, she completed her Psychologist Registration and worked in the government sector to assist individuals who were unable to work for various reasons.

Michelle established her private practice in 2008. She also worked for an Employee Assistance Programme wherein she provided face-to-face counselling, training for Beyond Blue, and gave psychological support during critical incidents for emergency workers and a wide range of other industries.
Michelle has helped numerous individuals over the years get through difficult periods in their lives. This involves working through old issues that are affecting them in the present, overcoming limiting thoughts and beliefs that kept them feeling stuck, and generally improving their functioning to help them live their best lives.
