Helindie is an Occupational Therapist from South Africa. After completing her studies, she worked in various fields of Occupational Therapy in both public and private sectors. In 2017, she briefly relocated to Ireland, later moving to Sydney in 2018. Helindie enjoys working with diverse populations, as well as with individuals that require extra assistance to reach their full potential.
Helindie has a variety of focus areas within their Occupational Therapy. These include (but are not limited to):
- Case Management and Equipment / Support Recommendations
- Neuro-developmental Intervention
- Psychosocial Interventions
- Sensory Integration
She works with both children and adults with various diagnosis who require intervention as a result of difficulties with everyday tasks and functions.
Since 2013, Helindie has worked in various fields of OT, including focused areas such as Oncology/Palliative, Sensory integration, Neurology, Spinal rehabilitation, Medico-legal, Rheumatology and Geriatric Care. These fields have greatly enriched her experience as a therapist.
She has a personal interest in working with differently-abled children, adolescents, and adults. Helindie works hard to promote the better functioning of individuals, whether they are going through a major life event or during their everyday life.
